US: Businesses Evacuated as Vegetation Fire Breaks Out Near San Diego River in Santee

On Sunday, March 29, the Santee Fire Department responded to a vegetation fire near the San Diego River in Santee. Walmart, Michaels, and other nearby businesses were evacuated, though no residential evacuations were ordered, and forward progress was halted. No injuries or structural damage were reported, and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
